INDIVIDUAL

Individual Therapy

     Whether you are an adult trying therapy for the first time, or returning to therapy to address new challenges and difficulties in your current life, I am glad you are reaching out for the opportunity to work towards  integrating all aspects of yourself, and your life experience.

     I offer a personalized approach to every individual I work with using different modalities depending on what their needs are, and what are the things that they would find helpful and effective. I also  offer therapy in Spanish for monolingual individuals, or those who speak English but Spanish is their emotional language, and may need to communicate in Spanish things that  the heart sometimes cannot translate.

     Some of the main tools I use to help my clients are: EMDR, DBT Skills, CBT, mindfulness, and trauma informed therapy.  Please see the links below to learn about these modalities, and the effect that trauma has in our brains, nervous systems, and our lives.

     While I take private pay clients, I believe that therapy should be accessible to everyone. COUPLES

Couples therapy

     Usually couples seek therapy when they feel stuck in their relationship and need help in getting “unstuck”,  after the aftermath of an affair, or when they just want to improve their relation and avoid cycles of disconnection.  Other times, they seek help because they are contemplating ending the relationship and they would like a safe space to explore that possibility.   The couple’s therapist is a therapist for the relationship and not for any individual in the couple.  My  work with couples is informed by different modalities the main one being Emotional Focus Therapy (EFT).   I believe this modality is compassionate, heart centered, and effective.
